In Response To Governor DeWine’s Order
March 12 - April 2
Amid concerns with the COVID-19 (CoronaVirus), and in response to Governor DeWine’s order banning mass gatherings in the State of Ohio, the City of Rossford will follow Governor DeWine’s and the Ohio Health Department’s recommendations to promote prevention activities to slow the spread of an outbreak. Effective immediately: The City is cancelling all City-sponsored public meetings that are NOT required for the continuation of City operations. This includes: Rossford City Planning Commission on March 18, Rossford City Council Meeting on March 23, Rossford City Finance & Insurance Committee Meeting March 23, and the Board of Zoning Appeals Meeting on March 24.
The Rossford Police Department is temporarily suspending the following services: Web Checks, Ride-A-Longs, Department Tours, and Senior Outreach Visits until further notice. Calls For Service that do not require an Officer’s presence at the scene may be handled by telephone. This will be at the discretion of the Shift Supervisor. The men and women of the Rossford Police Department are committed to protect and serve while providing a safe and secure environment in partnership with the community.
The Rossford Fire & EMS Department asks that if you need to contact EMS for treatment and/or transport that you provide the 911 operator with detailed information on the symptoms the patient is exhibiting and information on if the patient has recently traveled outside the United States. This will allow EMS personnel to take necessary precautions upon arrival to assist the patient and keep our Firefighters/Paramedics healthy.
