Expect Road Closures for the 2019 Racing for Recovery

2019 Racing for Recovery Rock’tober 10K Run and 5K Walk and Kids Run is Saturday, October 26, 2019, starting on StRt 65 at the Superior and Bergin intersection at 8am. Check the Rossford Police Department website or Facebook page or the RunToledo website for more details.

There will be road closures.  Access to North bound Superior and Glenwood from Bergin will be open.  South bound traffic on Superior will be closed for the entire route for approximately 90 minutes. North bound only traffic on Dixie Hwy / Superior St will be open from Rossway.  If you live on the route, please be aware that you will not be able to use the roadways for approximately 90 minutes.  Emergency vehicles will have access. The Racing for Recovery organizers will be contacting residents and business owners with further information.  If you have other specific questions, please call Chief Todd Kitzler at the Rossford Police Station, 419-666-7390.

ALERT – Eagle Point Colony Residents

Colony Subdivision Residents:

This post is to alert you that certain residences in the area of the current waterline upgrades will have their water shutdown for intermittent periods.  These shutdowns are expected to occur Tuesday, October 8, 2019 and/or Wednesday, October 9, 2019.  If your residence is affected by this shutdown, you will be contacted directly by the Northwest Water and Sewer District with more specific information.

Police Department Trash Cart Reminder

A friendly reminder from the Rossford Police Department: All approved refuse containers may be placed at the designated collection point no sooner than 5:00 p.m. the day prior to collection.

All approved containers are to be removed from streets and alleyways by 9:00 a.m. on the next day after collection and shall be kept or placed at the rear of the house or building or in passageways behind the front building line.

Income Tax Reminder

Tax Day For 2018 Income Tax is Monday, April 15, 2019.

Filing is mandatory for all Rossford residents and businesses located within the City, as well as for Rental Property owners, and lottery winners. Check out the City Tax Department website page for details.

The Regional Income Tax Agency/RITA maintains City of Rossford income tax collections. To obtain information for filing purposes including specific account information and estimates, please call RITA at 1-800-860-7482 ext. 5002 or visit their website at www.ritaohio.com. Income tax forms are available at the RITA website also by clicking on the link.   RITA offers e-filing and e-payment options for individuals and businesses, including prior year returns.   File online at www.ritaohio.com .

Taxpayers receiving notification letters from RITA need to respond to RITA in order to avoid receiving additional penalties and interest, or receiving a subpoena.  To assure speedy processing and to avoid the subpoena process, responses should be sent to:
